Existing Vet Fee-Help Students: Opt-In Now
Current VET FEE-HELP students (who accessed VET FEE-HELP in 2016) can decide to ‘Opt-In’ to continue in 2017 in their current course and under the existing VFH loan scheme. For current students to continue in their course and under the original conditions of the VET FEE-HELP loan scheme, they will need to Opt In by completing an online form prior to 31 March 2017.
All existing students should have received an email/letter from the Australian Government Department of Education and Training notifying of the changes and the process to Opt-In. The email/letter will provide students with a unique ‘passkey’ which they will need to enter into the Department’s website along with their CHESSN within 10 days of receiving the email/letter. The online form can be found at: https://ecaf.education.gov.au/vfh
After completing the Opt-In online form, students will be issued a letter, students must provide this letter to Queensford College by forwarding the email and attached letter to firstname.lastname@example.org
What if you didn’t receive the letter?
Existing students who do not receive the Opt-In email/letter, will need to contact the Department of Education and Training, by filling in the enquiry form, and selecting ‘Requesting passkey’ in the ‘What is your question regarding?’ field.
Existing VFH students who fail to ‘Opt-In’ before 31 March 2017, to confirm ongoing VFH loan arrangements for 2017, may be liable to pay the cost of course fees upfront.
