Queensford College have developed a Certificate II in Horticulture program that has been specially designed for secondary School students to allow their horticulture skills and knowledge to grow and bloom throughout the program.
Students will learn to identify plants and soil types, potting and pruning, customer service and communication, gaining a solid grounding in their career. This qualification underpins a range of work functions and job roles that can lead to a horticultural trade qualification.

There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. It is however expected that participants are able to display sufficient English Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills at a Year 11 level or equivalent. Basic computer skills are required for this qualification and delivery. Capacity to complete the assessment items within the required timeframes is required.
Participating in this course can: provide credit points towards the attainment of a Queensland Certificate of Education, and/or the attainment of a nationally recognised VET qualification and support young people’s transitions to employment, vocational and higher education pathways.
