Course Description

Become a professional cook in any commercial kitchen with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

Learn valuable skills to work within a kitchen team, assist with operational issues, plan kitchen work, plan food production in the kitchen and learn legal compliance requirements. Students will have a sound understanding of safe food handling practices, kitchen safety, and sustainable work practices and cooking operations coordination. Students will also learn to plan and create their own food menu, considering special dietary requirements and costs.

This qualification reflects the role of commercial cooks who use a wide range of cookery skills. They work with some independence under limited supervision and may provide operational advice and support to team members.
