This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers who have specialised skills is providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals facing a range of issues.

There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. However, having completed Year 12, hold a Certificate IV or have work experience in the field is recommended as minimum requirements to study at the diploma level. Queensford College uses the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) to identify the learners Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) levels upon enrolment.
This qualification targets students who are seeking qualification to work in the field of aged care or community support. They are passionate about people, generally have a caring nature and want to make a difference. Based on their interest in the industry, students entering into this program have an assumed level of industry knowledge and potential experience through a part time job or similar which will assist them with their studies based on their existing knowledge and skills.
Diploma of Community Services course includes 100 hours of professional work placement to be completed.
Vocational placement helps you prepare for the real world with real-life skills. Your workplace may require you to have a Working With Children Check and/or criminal record check prior to the commencement of placement.
