Level 3 Renovation
Level 3 Renovation
Level 3 construction work has now been completed and classes have commenced. The renovation for this level has brought a fresh look with better classroom, kitchenette and bathroom facilities. A brand new “cutting edge” computer lab has been created to host 32 computer stations. Level 3 has faced several incidents of air conditioning problems in the past, which has now been fixed with the installation of a brand new system.

New CCTV cameras have been fitted into the stairwells. This is to ensure we provide a safe and secure environment for all staff and students and be able to meet our duty of care obligations.

to WIRES
Bushfire Appeal Donation to WIRES
Late last year, Queensford College has donated earnings from our Brisbane Café to to WIRES Rescue who is the largest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charity in Australia. With the total amount at $1,390.

WIRES is a non-profit organisation providing rescue and rehabilitation for all native Australian fauna for over 30 years.

Food and Hospitality Queensland Chef of the Year 2019
In August 2019, our Senior Hospitality Trainer, Stephen Furlong, competed in Food and Hospitality Queensland Chef of the Year 2019. Where it sees chefs compete against chefs in a test of creativity, culinary knowledge and ingenuity. They had one hour to prepare their best dishes from a box of ingredients supplied by Wholesale Fruit Company and Inspired By Australian Pork.

It’s been three years since our Senior Hospitality Trainer, Stephen Furlong, has been judging at Queensland Metro Cook-off for Nestlé Golden Chef's Hat Award. It is Australia's longest running culinary cooking competition for young chef's. We were thrilled that our commercial cookery student, Andres, and his team mate competed and won silver!

Our first batch of students from ECCQ have successfully completed their Individual Support studies with us. We were honoured to attend their graduation ceremony in September 2019. ⠀ Working in collaboration ECCQ’s Bright Future Project to provide support and assistance to culturally and linguistically diverse Queenslanders to undertake formal training in vocational qualification to gain nationally recognised skills.⠀
