Specialised training facilities for Hospitality, Nursing, Aged Care, and Child Care
Enhancing the student’s learning experience, our three campuses are continually being upgraded with Specialised Training Facilities. Our Brisbane campus has a fully completed commercial training kitchen with functional state-of-the-art facilities. Meanwhile, our Parramatta campus also has its own kitchen underway to also provide our Commercial Cookery and Hospitality students the perfect stage to perform culinary miracles. Brisbane and Parramatta campuses both have clinical and nursing facilities that nursing students can use for practice and actual work simulation. Aged Care and Child Care have individual simulation rooms equipped with Child Care furniture, First Aid and Manual Handling Equipment.

On successful completion of the Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses at Queensford College, students may apply for credit transfer/exemptions with associated Queensford College or non-established pathway partners.
Queensford College offers you a range of Tertiary Education Pathways into a university degree. Pathways are established credit agreements between Queensford College and other tertiary institutes that may include admission and/or credit for your previous studies.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is undertaken through a streamlined assessment process that takes a practical approach maximising the use of on-site questioning, observation and verification of workplace competency through a discussion with a previous or current workplace supervisor. Assessments are conducted this way to assist assessors in obtaining a full picture of the candidate’s skills and knowledge. This can then be compared with industry standards & training package requirement enabling a determination of whether the candidate has achieved the required outcomes.
RPL is a form of assessment that acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through:
- Formal training & Informal training
- Work experience
- Life experience
The main purpose of RPL is to use existing skills, knowledge and experience to gain a nationally recognised qualification. If eligible for RPL, the duration of your course is calculated based on the experience you have working in the industry, and whether you will be applying for Credit Transfers using any previous certificates you may hold.
Further study may be required if we are unable to “RPL” all of units you wish to RPL for your course. Basically, we will train you further in the areas required to ensure you will be able to upskill yourself.
Thanks to the Queensland Government Funding options of “Certificate III Guarantee” and the “High Level Skills” programs, you will only be required to pay a student co-contribution fee of $99, or $69 if you hold a concession card.
